The beginnings: CMI Entreprise
The AlliA story begins with CMI Entreprise, founded over 40 years ago by Pierre Genevrier. A boilermaker by training, a committed entrepreneur and a recognized figure in the profession, he was also founder of the Compagnons du Devoir boilermaking guild. He built the company on the strong values that still form its foundation today: Transmission, Resilience, Audacity, Creativity, Exigence and Exemplarity.
From the outset, CMI Entreprise has specialized in industrial boiler-making and piping for complex applications in the energy, chemical and nuclear sectors. The company quickly established itself as a reliable player, thanks to its mastery of materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, special alloys) and its ability to produce customized equipment and process units.
From the outset, the emphasis is on quality of execution, safety for people and installations, and technical innovation to meet the most demanding industrial projects.
The AlliA transformation
January 1, 2014 marks a major turning point: CMI Entreprise becomes AlliA. This name symbolizes the alliance between design, manufacturing and industrial installation. This change reflects a clear ambition: to master the entire value chain, from engineering to on-site commissioning.
This transformation also responds to the changing expectations of our customers. In the mass retail sector in particular, AlliA is called upon to dimension, design, produce and install equipment designed to maintain the cold chain. This ability to integrate thermal sizing, manufacturing and installation reinforces our position as an industrial turnkey solution provider.
AlliA then set up an in-house design office capable of designing complex equipment to the strictest industrial standards, integrating the mechanical, thermal, metallurgical and regulatory constraints specific to each project.

Industrial and international development
Over the years, AlliA has consolidated its industrial capacities with a 23,000 m² production facility and lifting equipment of up to 180 tonnes.
The company has also established a presence in Poland, strengthening its position in the European market. The Polish entity handles piping, boiler-making and structural work on carbon and stainless steels, thanks to a qualified and experienced team working closely with the French design office on process, thermal and mechanical sizing, metallurgy and welding processes.
The international dimension was further strengthened with the creation of FIPE, based in Rushan, China, and integrated into the IWF Group. This entity has a 22,000 m² workshop and direct access to the quayside, offering logistical and industrial capacities suited to large-scale projects. FIPE also benefits from the support of AlliA’s engineering capabilities, enabling us to provide our customers with a coordinated and competitive offering on a global scale.
Joining the IWF Group is a key step in our development. It will enable us to deploy industrial and commercial synergies, expand our geographical presence and support our customers in increasingly demanding markets.
