EVU exchangers (FA3)

The replacement of two safety- and seismic-rated heat exchangers for the Flamanville EPR illustrates a major nuclear project led by AlliA. Built in super duplex, this critical equipment was designed, manufactured and tested in fast-track mode, guaranteeing thermal performance, mechanical robustness and compliance with EN 13445 code requirements.

Replacement of 2 heat exchangers classified as safe and seismic

Replacement of 2 safety- and seismic-classified super duplex exchangers for the Flamanville EPR.
In 2019 AlliA was awarded the contract by EDF to replace the two EVU exchangers for the Flamanville EPR. AlliA was responsible for the thermo-hydraulic and mechanical sizing, procurement and manufacture, right through to performance testing, of 2 EVU exchangers in stainless steel 1.4404 and super duplex 1.4410.
All these services were carried out in 2 years and 3 months on this fast-track project.
